At Casale San Cristoforo, every morning begins with our signature Eco Breakfast — a lovingly prepared spread of homemade and organic produce, sourced entirely from our farm or from trusted local artisans in the Umbrian valley.

Pour yourself a coffee made with compostable Nespresso tabs and settle in. From there, every detail has been thoughtfully considered — farm fresh organic eggs from our free-roaming heritage breed chickens, warm freshly baked organic bread rolls, and a homemade organic breakfast cake straight from the oven. Help yourself to homemade organic granola or muesli, local honey, and our own homemade organic jams made from the seasonal fruits of our land.

Fresh seasonal fruits from our garden or local farmers market, organic milk, and a truly special addition — creamy artisan sheep yogurt, sourced from a local producer just down the valley.

Stay on a Working Farm


Staying at Casale San Cristoforo means waking up in the middle of a living landscape


Our 14-hectare farm is home to around 400 olive trees, a seasonal vegetable garden, fruit trees, 20+ chickens, 4 cats and a growing variety of crops. We are currently in conversion to certified organic farming and care for the land using regenerative and permaculture practices.


Depending on the season, you may find us harvesting olives, tending the vegetable garden, gathering fruit, collecting eggs or working with the crops we are bringing back to the land, including ancient wheat varieties and legumes.


It is a simple way of experiencing Umbria — not just looking at the countryside, but becoming part of it for a little while.

The Living Room


Designed with relaxation at its heart, our spacious living room is your own private sanctuary in the Umbrian countryside. Sink into the large, cozy lounge sofa, or throw open the doors to your private terrace and let the sweeping landscape views flood in. A dedicated workspace means you can work remotely in peace — with arguably the most beautiful office view in Italy. Underfloor heating and air-conditioning ensure perfect comfort in every season.

The Bedrooms


True rest begins with what surrounds you while you sleep. Our two bedrooms have been curated with your wellbeing at heart — every element that touches your skin is 100% organic and natural, from the luxurious mattress, pillows and duvets, to the softest organic bath towels and finest organic washing gels. Drift off under the warm glow of bedside lamps, with underfloor heating and air-conditioning for year-round comfort.

The Kitchen & Dining Area


Our fully equipped farmhouse kitchen has everything you need — a generous oven, sleek Smeg fridge, dishwasher, and kettle. It flows seamlessly into a light-flooded dining area perfect for long, lazy meals together. Several charming doors open onto your private terrace, where al fresco dining with breathtaking Umbrian countryside views awaits.

Boutique Stay in Umbria, Near Montone


Your Quiet Haven in the Umbrian Hills


Casale San Cristoforo is a boutique organic farmhouse set in fourteen hectares of olive groves, vines and wild meadow. When you stay, the whole place is yours, with no other guests, no shared spaces and no schedule. The days run on slow breakfasts, long walks and evenings under the olive trees.


Made for two


The house is arranged for a couple: one bedroom, one bathroom, a kitchen of your own and a garden to disappear into. Each morning an organic breakfast is waiting, with eggs from our hens, our own olive oil, bread and fruit from the garden.


Open to four


Travelling with close friends or family? We can open the second bedroom and bathroom, so up to four guests share the farmhouse in complete privacy.


Rates


Stays start at €365 a night for two guests, breakfast included, and €425 a night when the second bedroom is opened. Rates vary gently with the season. We ask for a minimum of five nights, so there's time to slow down.

The House


Living

A spacious, light-filled living room designed for slow mornings, long conversations and quiet afternoons with a book.


Sleeping

Two bedrooms, each with a 180 × 200 cm superking bed and private bathroom. Natural, organic bedding and carefully chosen materials make the rooms as restful as they are beautiful.


Kitchen & Dining

A generous open-plan kitchen and dining space, fully equipped for everything from a simple breakfast to a long dinner shared around the table.


Outside

Step through to your private patio and enjoy your own outdoor space overlooking the countryside, with partial use of the surrounding garden.


Thoughtful Comfort

Everything you need for an effortless stay, and very little that you don't.

Underfloor heating and air conditioning keep the house comfortable throughout the seasons. High-speed Wi-Fi is available, together with a dedicated workspace for those who need to stay connected.


There is secure private parking on the property.


And there is no television.

We chose the view instead.


A Little Space for Wellbeing

Yoga mats and soft foam rollers are available for morning stretches, Pilates or a quiet sunset session.

Throughout the house, we have chosen natural and organic materials wherever possible — from the mattresses and bed linen to the towels and shower products.

Because wellbeing is often found in the details.

The kitchen is fully equipped for relaxed days at home.

Each morning, we prepare a generous organic breakfast using homemade produce from our farm and carefully chosen products from local artisans.

Fresh eggs, homemade bread and cake, granola, local honey, our own jams, seasonal fruit and sheep's yoghurt — depending on what the land and the season have to offer.

Breakfast is included in your stay.

Slow mornings are part of the experience.


A Stay on Our Farm

Casale San Cristoforo is not simply surrounded by nature. It is part of it.

The farmhouse sits within our 14-hectare farm, among olive trees, fruit trees, vegetable gardens, fields and the animals that have become part of everyday life here.

Our land is officially in conversion to certified organic farming, and we care for it using regenerative and permaculture practices. We are also bringing new crops back to the land, including ancient wheat varieties and legumes.

The farm changes with the seasons. Sometimes there is harvesting, sometimes planting, sometimes simply the sound of chickens in the olive grove.
